Celebrating success

The Research and Enterprise Office manages two sets of awards that celebrate the achievements of colleagues across the University.

One recognises the strength of our research; the other, the breadth of our external partnerships. Both celebrate the far-reaching impacts of our work.

Find out more about the Awards – as well as some of our recent successful Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and Commercialisation ventures.

CALIBRE Awards

The CALIBRE Awards – launched in 2019 – recognise the breadth and diversity of research across our campuses, celebrating the impact of both teams and individuals. The triannual Awards are themed, reflecting strategically important areas of work – including (to date) open research, equality and diversity, and international collaborations. Calls for nominations go out via ADRs, and the winners are decided by public vote.

Enterprise Awards

The biennial Enterprise Awards – running since 2009 – celebrate our external partnerships: collaborations that deliver far-reaching social, economic and cultural impact. The nominations are divided by categories including (most recently) Impact, Commercial Potential and Partnerships. There is also a category to recognise the achievements of our student and graduate entrepreneurs. The winners are decided by a combination of public vote and judging panel.
