Training
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requires employers to provide whatever information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the Health and Safety at work of your employees.
This is expanded by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, which identify situations where health and safety training is particularly important, eg when people start work, on exposure to new or increased risks and where existing skills may have become rusty or need updating.
The Health and Safety Service provides a range of health and safety training and workshops for a variety of staff groups. For mandatory health and safey training for your role please refer to the health and safety training matrix which can be found in the Health and Safety Policy
If you wish to attend any Health and Safety training please visit the OD hub searching under the Health and Safety category in “Our Workshops, Courses and Events”
