I contribute to the strategic objectives of the University by supporting the development of postgraduate research students and research staff at all career stages. This encompasses the design, promotion, delivery and evaluation of training and development programmes, both face-to-face and blended learning, as well as creating and leading a number of dissemination and networking events for members of the research community.
I joined Loughborough University in January 2015 from University of Leicester, where I held the post of Research Skills Developer, delivering training and events for postgraduate research students. My PhD is in Biochemistry, from the University of Otago, New Zealand, specialising in the study of starch degradation in plants.
