Latest information updates for international students

Due to severe disruption faced by our international applicants to studies and exams over recent years, we may be able to offer greater flexibility in terms of academic entry criteria than in previous years.

For those who already have an offer for study, we strongly encourage you to upload your final transcripts so that we can confirm whether flexibility can be applied to your offer.

If you have not applied yet and would like to ask about whether flexibility may be available to you, please email the International Office. Please provide as much information as you can in order for us to be able to help you with your query quickly. We welcome new Postgraduate Taught applications up until the 6th September.

Due to COVID related disruption some international students may be worried about arriving on time for the start of their programme. For masters courses we can confirm the following policies to help:

London campus students

• International students may arrive slightly late up to the start of week 3 (17th October). Catch up will be required by studying online prior to the point of arrival.
• A start date is possible in week 5 for second module later arrivals. This would require you to study module 1 fully online.
• January start date programmes are available for selected programmes. International students may request a change of start date to January where available. Where the exact course is not available for a January start programme, a change to a similar programme may be possible upon request.

Loughborough campus masters students

• International students may arrive slightly late up to the start of week 3 (17th October). Catch up will be required by studying online prior to the point of arrival.

The University must be made aware of your study plans if you wish to arrive later than your start date. Please email pgtaught@lboro.ac.uk at your earliest opportunity to confirm a flexible start date option should you wish to request this.

We offer a free coach service to provide transport from London Heathrow Airport to the Loughborough campus for new international students at the start of the academic year. You can book your place here.

For students who have already received your high school results, Loughborough University is pleased to offer vacancies on all of our courses for well qualified international students through clearing.

Early Clearing begins on 5th July and closes on 30th July. If you are interested in applying to us through Early Clearing, please email clearing@lboro.ac.uk identifying which course you are interested in studying.

You should include your UCAS personal ID number and copies of all your certificates, including English Language.
If you are eligible for a place, a clearing offer will be emailed to you with instructions on how to proceed.

If you receive your results after 30th July, we will open again for Clearing on 18th August.
